COVID-19 Updates (May 31, 2020)

Are you prepared for the 2020 hurricane season while the world is also responding to COVID-19? CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health joined the CDC EPIC Team on Wednesday, May 27. They discussed possible health risks that could come from hurricanes combined with COVID-19; planning for the 2020 hurricane season while adhering to guidance on social distancing; and how community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and public health professionals can effectively communicate messages.

Know the symptoms of COVID-19, which can include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

During this COCA call, clinicians will learn about the clinical characteristics of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, how cases have been diagnosed and treated, and how clinicians are responding to recently reported cases associated with COVID-19.
